Swedish Health Services Imaging Scheduler - Registrar in Edmonds, Washington


Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Imaging Scheduler Registrar (Per Diem, Day Shift) to work in Mammography at Swedish Edmonds in Edmonds, WA.

The Imaging Scheduler Registrar performs a variety of front office clerical and support tasks within an outpatient setting. Primary responsibilities include patient registration, patient scheduling, patient medical records, and customer service activities.

In this position you will:

  • Greets patients and visitors in a pleasant manner, providing accurate and efficient information according to their needs. Ensures timely and accurate patient registration and check-in. Monitors patient wait time to ensure efficient workflow and patient satisfaction.

  • Verifies exam and preparation verbally or in writing to ensure accurate procedures are performed as requested. Reviews printed schedules of daily exams to ensure timely and accurate input of orders.

  • Remains logged in to the phone system to answer and triage incoming phone calls. Takes messages and relays to appropriate staff in a timely manner. Frequently retrieves messages from voicemail, responding or relaying to appropriate staff as needed.

  • Schedules and pre-registers patients for upcoming appointments in the hospital computer systems.

  • Compiles necessary paperwork for procedures prior to patient arrival


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • High School level education or equivalent with course work in business or office practices

  • Minimum six months experience performing general and specialized office duties

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • One year experience performing general and specialized office duties

  • Prior hospital or clinical experience

  • One year scheduling experience

  • Experience with computerized scheduling, registration or relation databases
