We are seeking a CT Technologist who will perform CT scans according to accepted department protocols and hospital policy and procedure.

In this position you will:

• Follow Universal Protocol at all times to ensure correct patient, correct procedure, and correct side

• Maintain established departmental policies and procedures, improving organization performance program, patient/customer safety, environmental and infection control standards

• Perform CT scans; obtain patient history, prepare patient for the exam, explain exam, and ensure patient cooperation during the study

• Photograph CT scans, utilizing appropriate window/level settings and format according to department standards

• Recognize adverse reactions and contradictions, and acts appropriately

• Operate patient monitoring equipment; set patient up, monitor and record data

• Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in service meetings and workshops

• Attend meetings as required

• Participate in quality improvement activities

• The following job accountabilities may be reassigned:

• Plan protocols, consulting patient exam history (including nuclear medicine, ultrasound reports) with radiologist and RN when appropriate

• Schedule CT scans, and coordinate patient flow in the department

• Transport patients to CT scan room; prepares and maintain room for daily activities

• Complete paperwork and billing functions; verify and signs off inpatient orders, complete ITS functions, request and complete master jacket and CT insert preparation

• Perform radiographic examinations

• Request and order supplies as necessary to keep materials on hand at all timespolicy and procedure.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

• Sufficient for certification

• Advanced CT certification with A.R.R.T.

• BLS for Healthcare Providers sponsored by the American Heart Association. NOTE: If employee/applicant has certification by the American Red Cross-CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, this will be accepted until card expiration date

• CRT with RHF

• Thorough knowledge of Radiologic and CT practices and procedure
