We are looking for a Rehab Scheduler with the Rehab Administration Department at the St. Jude Medical Center for Rehabilition and Wellness.
Location: Brea, CA
Work Schedule: On Call / Per Diem
Shift: 8-hour, Days

Under direction supervision using detailed instructions, policies, and procedures the scheduler provides a variety of services to our patients including scheduling, reception, medical records, verifications and clerical functions. Promotes positive working relationships with patients, families, physicians and coworkers, demonstrating teamwork to ensure excellent patient care.
• Responds to new referrals in a timely manner.
• Schedules new evaluations and follow-up appointments.
• Calls designated evals with prior day reminder.
• Monitors schedules and keeps Cadence updated.
• Reschedules appointments as necessary.
• Answers, triages and routes incoming calls and messages (including “sick-line”) to appropriate personnel.
Computer skills (Epic modules for front office, basic Windows functionality, basic keyboard knowledge).
Ability to communicate effective, both verbally and in writing.
Ability to consistently function in an environment that includes varying, unpredictable, or crisis circumstances while exercising appropriate interpersonal and critical thinking skills.
Ability to function independently and perform more than one task at any given time.
Able to type approximately 40 wpm.
Ability to work in a high volume office with continual interruptions.
Able to schedule 35-40 exams per day, with minimal to no errors.
Demonstrate ability to operate and troubleshoot computers, printers, and FAX machines.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
Education : H.S. Diploma or GED
Experience : 6 months of Experience in medical and/or clerical field.
Preferred Position Qualifications:
Experience : Experience with Epic modules for front office and Cadence for scheduling
