Providence Health & Services RN Surgical Team Lead - Cardiothoracic Surgery in Anchorage, Alaska
Providence is calling a Registered Nurse (RN) Surgical Team Lead to Cardiothoracic Surgery (Day Shift, 1.0 FTE) at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska. In this position you will:
Serve as the primary coordinator for a surgical speciality(s) that result in well-coordinated patient care; a high degree of staff and physician satisfaction; excellent quality of care delivery; and the coordination of activities of a surgical specialty.
Direct and coordinate the care given by members of the Cardiothoracic Surgery team in a collegial manner.
Be accountable for the delivery of quality care to patients and families meeting the individualized needs of the patient and following the nursing process in accordance with the Alaska State Nurse Practice Act.
Be a preceptor and mentor for all members of the surgical specialty and assume responsibilities of orienting staff.
Perform all duties in a manner that supports team concept, collegial, collaborative caring, and respectful, reflecting the mission, vision and core values of Providence Health and Services.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Graduate of an accredited/approved school of Nursing
Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alaska
Certification as a Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) required within 2 years of hire
A minimum of two (2) years of OR experience in surgical specialty or sugical specialties
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree
Five (5) years of Operating Room (OR) experience
Membership in a professional nursing organization or council/chapter
